British Seagull
Reader Brian W. Pollard of Mount Desert, Maine, wrote in regard to an item in the July 15, 1998 issue regarding sources of British Seagull parts. He gave the following address:

British Seagull
Outboard Engine Division of Chillington Marine, Ltd.
Unit 1 Newtown Business Park
Ringwood Road, Parkstone
Poole, Dorset
BH12 3LJ England
Tel: 0202-747400
Fax: 0202-737445

Their Service Manual, Pollard wrote, lists four pages of packaged Service Kits and packaged accessories and spares (Service sheet #30). Contrary to some reports, I believe these kits cover all possible needs for any Seagull engine manufactured after 1957. Major parts are no longer available for the FV, FVP, LM and LS models manufactured between 1949 and 1957 (Service sheet #29).
