Keeping warm on a cold night aboard a cruising boat can be a problem, particularly if it's a boat not equipped with a permanently-installed propane, diesel, or solid-fuel heater. Few sailors carry sleeping bags with more than a +45° comfort rating. (Heavy bags are too warm for most nights.)
