  1. Wool Socks… about 12 years ago, and tens of pairs of sheep wool socks later, I happened to visit an Alpaca farm in eastern Idaho. While there, I bought a pair of Alpaca Survival Socks. And that, as they say, was that. I’ve ridden my motorcycle for over an hour in 18 degree temperatures with completely warm feet. I’ve gotten my feet soaked, and I haven’t been miserable. I won’t waste another dime on sheep’s wool socks. There are several farms and vendors that sell survival socks, and they are usually made in the USA.
